Overview
Mwanga Community Bank Limited MCBL is a fast-growing Bank operating in the Kilimanjaro region with its head office and the main branch at Mwanga town supported by three service centers located at Moshi, Same and Hedaru. Currently, the bank is looking for qualified and self-motivated Tanzanian candidates to fill the following vacant positions: –
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Work location: Head Office
Type of Employment: Fixed Employment contract of 2years renewable basis- subject to performance
SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
This position will be responsible for mobilization of deposits from retail as well as institutional Customers. The holder of this position should fully participate in the design and launch of innovative saving products such that the deposit mobilization target set by the Organization quarterly as well as annual is achieved. He/she must ensure that all activities pertaining to the mobilization of Customer Deposits are processed correctly, timely and up to the satisfaction of the Customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Making sure that deposit mobilization targets are met at the organization level on a quarterly as well as annual basis
- Establish regular coordination with the MCB Branches/ Service Centers and providing support to ensure that each Branch/ Service Center achieves their set target for deposit mobilization
- Ensure that the deposit growth rate is improving at all the time by mobilizing deposits on a daily basis
- Planning and developing the deposit mobilization programme for the bank; implement and leading other staff who will be involved in the programme implementation
- Working closely with banking agencies Wakala of the bank to make sure that deposits are growing, and solving problems they might be facing on their daily operations
- Maintain a fruitful relationship with Clients and address their day-to-day needs effectively
- Carry out other activities as would be outlined in the detailed job description.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION:
- Advanced diploma/degree in economics, business administration, accounting or any related field
- At least one year of experience in the banking industry on deposit mobilization or similar role
- Sharp and fast moving
- Good analytical and negotiating skills/ capacity
- Self-motivated and result driven
- Capable to work under deadlines
- Good communication skills both English and Swahili oral and written

SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
This position will be responsible for supporting in achieving maximum revenue for the organization by putting in place strategic marketing campaigns/ activities, develop and implement growth opportunities in existing and new market. Regular assessment of the products and services offered by the bank and come up with new ideas on the functional area of Marketing & Business Development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring that the bank achieves its revenue goals by implementing result-oriented marketing and business development strategies
- Exploring and implementing growth opportunities in the existing and new market
- Undertaking regular review/assessment of bank products & services to fit in the market
- Prepare customer statistics report and provide strategies for more growth
- Maintain a fruitful relationship with the Clients and address their needs effectively
- Identifying and mapping business strength and customer needs
- Facilitating Sale of existing and new bank products by the Branches/ Service Centers
- Coordinating and forcing branding guidelines and standards across the bank
- Sending business and news updates to bank clients and managing online promotions
- Work closely with branch managers to support the implementation of their marketing plans
- Develop the marketing strategies for the bank in line with its key objectives
- Develop marketing and promotion material for the bank
- Carry out other activities as would be outlined in the detailed job description.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION:
- Advance diploma/degree in marketing or related field
- At least one-year experience in the same field or similar position
- Good in Microsoft word, publisher, and excel
- Ability to negotiate effectively
- Good communication skills both in English and Swahili in oral and written
- Ability to teamwork and leading the team
- High attention to detail and focuses on fact-based decision making.
