RTI International is seeking staff the following positions below for a USAID-funded malaria surveillance and monitoring project in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Job Title: Accountant
Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Accountant is responsible for ensuring appropriate systems and procedures (payroll, cash management, vendor payments, budgeting and other related expenditures) are followed to properly disburse, account, budget and report project funds which are cost-effective, timely, have proper internal controls, and comply with the terms of the agreement and USAID/RTI regulations. S/he will lead finance and accounting functions, track expenses and other financial transactions using Quickbooks, prepare and submit monthly expense reports to RTI’s home office, and will review expenses and financial transactions to ensure compliance with USAID and RTI rules and regulations.
Applicants should have either a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience or a Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in MS Excel and QuickBooks, Proficiency in English is required.

Job Title: Administration Assistant
Responsibilities and Qualification
The Administrative Assistant will serve as the project’s receptionist and is responsible for supporting financial, administration, logistics, and procurement administrative requirements of the project. S/he will coordinate office space and support travel arrangements for visiting RTI staff and consultants. S/he will also word process general correspondence, answer phone calls and perform other administrative duties as needed.
Applicants should have a post-secondary degree with at least 3 years of professional experience, Proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities
The Driver is responsible for driving, maintaining, and managing the project vehicle. S/he is expected to work during normal business hours; however, there may be occasions where his/her assistance will be needed outside of work hours. Overtime compensation, as applicable and approved, may apply.

Job Title: Grants Manager
Responsibilities
The Grants Manager is responsible for managing a large grants program, from solicitation to closeout, with multiple local grantees. S/he will maintain financial management files for grants, ensure the audit trail for all necessary grant documentation, ensure timely financial disbursements and compliance with grants financial management policies, monitor all grant expenses, and provide regular updates on grant status.

RTI International is seeking Chief of Party (COP) candidates for recently-awarded USAID-funded Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring project in Tanzania. The purpose of this project is to support the Government of Tanzania to reduce the burden of Malaria and to move towards the long-term goal of malaria elimination. Under a cooperative agreement, USAID will fund malaria surveillance, entomological monitoring, drug efficiency monitoring and monitoring of other vector control interventions The target populations of the program are pregnant women and children under the age of five. The COP provides technical leadership and managerial oversight for the project, ensures timely implementation and reporting of activities, as well as is the project’s senior representative engaging with USAID, the Tanzania Government and other in-country stakeholders. The position is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
