Position Summary Under the USAID- and PEPFAR-funded Health Policy Plus (HP+) project, Palladium is seeking a short-term consultant to co-facilitate the Gender and Sexual Diversity (GSD) training. The Gender and Sexual Diversity training was developed by the Health Policy Project, the predecessor to HP+, and has been delivered to PEPFAR teams in more than 40 countries around the world. HP+ is currently planning a GSD training in Tanzania and requires a consultant who has experience facilitating the GSD curriculum for U.S. Government audiences. Responsibilities:

  • Co-facilitate the one-day Gender and Sexual Diversity training up to four times during the week of September 24-28, 2018

Qualifications:

1 Relevant educational experience in public health, gender, human rights, or a related field 2 At least 5 years of experience in HIV, health, human rights, and gender 3 At least 5 years of experience facilitating trainings 4 Experience with PEPFAR programming preferred 5 Experience facilitating conversations around sensitive and controversial topics with high level government staff 6 Ability to adapt to quickly and gracefully to last minute changes during a training 7 Experience working with key populations and designing and/or analyzing effective key population programming 8 Proven ability to work independently, and as a team member 9 Organized, reliable, and able to work with remote and diverse teams 10 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; diplomatic demeanor 11 Fluency in Swahili and English is required
